How do Heat Pumps Work?

How do Heat Pumps work?

Heat Pumps are undoubtedly an important part of hot water production but have you ever wondered how they actually work?

Heat pumps extract renewable heat from the air which makes heating your hot water more efficient, less costly and more friendly for the environment.

Heat pumps transfer heat by circulating a substance called a refrigerant through a cycle of evaporation and condensation.

A compressor pumps the refrigerant between two heat exchanger coils.

In one coil, the refrigerant is evaporated at low pressure and absorbs heat from its surroundings.

Therefore, providing you with energy efficient hot water all year round!
