The Victorian Government has announced a ban on new homes being connected to gas from 1st January 2024.
Energy Minister Lily D’Ambrosio and Housing Minister Sonia Kilkenny have advised that the ban will be
implemented for all new homes and residential subdivisions requiring a planning permit.
The ban will help reduce Victoria’s emissions and provide a cost of living relief to skyrocketing gas prices.
